As of April 2007 you will register your Clicker ID in the icampus portal. Your professor will then be able to download the roster from the portal in order to have you listed in their participant list. THIS IS IMPORTANT! If your ID is not registered then your click will not count! You should have your clicker registered before the first day of class.
The remote code is located on the back of the remote underneath the barcode. It is a six digit code that may consist of letters and numbers but NONE of the codes contain the letter "O"!! If you can't decide if it's a number zero or the letter "O" it's really a number zero. The image below has a sample remote code highlighted in red so that you can see what it looks like on a remote. This sample code is 008C0D (zero, zero, eight,C,zero,D) but your personal remote code will be different from this sample code. Notice how the zero's look like the letter "O" but are in fact zeros!

Take it to TechZone and they will test it out for you. They have batteries in case that is all that is needed. If it is faulty, then they will exchange this for you.
If you happen to get a new remote during the semester for whatever reason (loss, theft, damage, etc) you MUST send your new Device ID to your professor before you come to class and change your registration for your clicker on the icampus portal. Your responses for the class will not be accepted unless the professor has you on their participation list ahead of time.

As of January 2008, ISU standardized on the XR model of the clicker.
The University Bookstore (Barnes & Noble), The Allamo Bookstores, and the TurningPoint Website all have the ISU models in stock.
Note: If you buy your clicker either from a private individual or from another location, you may have a similar looking model but it may connect to a channel differently. For example, instead of GO-channelnumber-Go yours might connect with Go-channelnumber-Go-1 . We are standardizing at ISU on one way to connect to channels. We do not recommend having a model that does not connect in the standard way. Your professor or TechZone will not be able to help you if you experience difficulties with a non_standard model.
