Illinois State University has adopted the TurningPoint ResponseCard RF Remote (aka Clickers) as a campuswide classroom student response system. The system allows instructors to actively engage students in class by asking questions during the lecture that can be counted for polling purposes only or for actual class grades. How exactly it is used in a class is entirely up to the instructor for your course. Below are some common questions that students have and common responsibilities of the student

Guidelines for use:

What are my responsibilities?

Can I share my ResponseCard RF remote?

How to get a clicker:

Where can I buy a ResponseCard RF remote?

What is the cost?

Do I have to register this each semester to use it?

What to do once you have a clicker:

OK, I have a remote now how do I register it for my class?

Where is my Device ID on the remote?

How do I know if I have the correct version of remote?

What do I do if I get a new remote during the semester?

How to use the clicker in class:

How do I login the remote when I try to use it in the classroom? How do I know I bought the correct version of remote?

Do I need to login everytime I come to class?

Ok, I'm in class now and my remote is properly logged into the correct radio channel. How do I respond to a question my instructor asks in class?

Help, I did not see a green light when I pressed my answer to a question in class! What is wrong?

I've now answered questions in class, how do I check my scores afterwards?

Where to test out your clicker:

Where can I go test it out?

Should I do this with my instructor?
