General training sessions (on campus) : Training will be held in ITDC 108 unless otherwise noted. Click here to access the Training.ilstu.edu web site. Once there click on the REGISTER link near the top of the page. You will see a list of courses. Select the Introduction or Advanced course and click ADD to sign up. (If no one has signed up for a session by the day before, the session is usually cancelled.)
Preparing to use Clickers in your classroom takes time and adjustment. We recommend that you take the introductory training in the semester previous to the one in which you want to implement clickers. We have scheduled the sessions to accommodate this model. Should you want to learn on your own, you can go use online training provided by TurningPoint. You should/must, however, also look at the ISU recommended settings and helpsheets to ensure proper functionality on campus.
These are held during the week before classes start. It gives you a chance to practice your presentation with a receiver and a trainer available to help you troubleshoot your presentations.

The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT) has insitutes in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. There is generally a Clicker session included in the schedule. This all-day workshop includes both hands-on intro training and pedagogical best practices. Look to the CTLT website for the most current postings on these institutes.
These will be held once weekly (with a few exceptions) during the regular semesters to offer faculty the opportunity to meet with a trainer in order to run through some questions and for troubleshooting. This is NOT a replacement for attending a training course. Make sure to check this page for any cancellations or special meeting times.
